Bayern Munich stars Joshua Kimmich & Eric Maxim Choupo–Moting are positive for Covid-19, as the club struggles with virus

Bayern confirmed later Wednesday that Kimmich had also been tested and was now self-isolating at his home. According to the Bundesliga club Kimmich was “doing very well”.

The positive results of the Bayern duo come as the club struggles with a few players who are being quarantined due to coronavirus in Germany’s worsening Covid-19 situation.

Choupo -Moting was joined by Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala. They were quarantined after a contact person tested positive to Covid-19, Bayern reported on Sunday.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann disclosed that he might have only 13 outfielders available in Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev, Ukraine.

Niklas Süle and Josip Stanisic returned to training on Wednesday after coming out of self-isolation, Bayern said on its website. Süle tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month.
