We take a look back at the NHL Stat Corner’s latest edition to see the many achievements of the past few days. Postponements haven’t stopped players and teams from reaching franchise marks or NHL records, so enjoy.

At Home, Avalanche dominant

The Colorado Avalanche broke the franchise record for longest home win streak (11 games played) They also won the first game in which they trailed by three goals in a match since 2018. This was again done with the support of two players who were unstoppable: Nathan MacKinnon und Cale Makar.

MacKinnon posted his fifth 13-game streak in a row, which is the longest streak among active players. Patrick Kane ((4) and Evgenimalkin (3) are the only active players to have more than one. Makar is only the third defenceman (modern era), to have scored 15 goals in the first 27 games. He joins Bobby Orr (20 GP, 1973-75, and 25 GP, 1973-74) as well as Dave Ellett (23 GP, 1988-89).

Multiple Hurricanes Help Team Surge

Frederik andersen is the goaltender who has had four assists during the 22 first-round games since Ed Belfour’s 2001-02 season. Andersen has been an excellent goaltender and contributed to quick breaks, which resulted in goals. For the fourth consecutive game, the Carolina Hurricanes have scored six or more goals.

Seth Jarvis had to play the fourth-fewest game in franchise history (Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricane), in order to earn 15 career points (24 GP). Only Ron Francis (11 GP), Jeff Skinner (15 GP), Sylvain Tuurgeon (15 GP), and Sylvain Turner (15 GP) were faster. Sebastian Aho, who scored the sixth most points in franchise history (37), was also the winner of the 30 first-half games. Jesper Fast played his 500th game in his career.

Zach Fucale begins his career by setting an NHL record

Zach Fucale’s NHL record for longest consecutive streak without a loss was 138:31. The previous recordMatt Hackett was the winner (102:48). His first career start was a shutout. His second appearance in NHL took the Minnesota Wild until 0 minutes 35 to score on him.

Tom Wilson played his 600th professional game. He is the fifth-youngest NHL Draft player to achieve this milestone. He is also second to Morgan Rielly’s NHL Draft record.

Auston Matthews Red Hot Goal Department

Auston Matthews scored his 45th multi-goal goal, which is second in league history after Alex Ovechkin’s 46. Matthews also achieved his 220th career goal, securing the sole possession of 11th place on the franchise goals lists. He also passed Lanny McDonald. Matthews has scored 15 goals in his past 13 games and hasn’t shown signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Jake Guentzel’s Streak Continues

Jake Guentzel has scored a point in 17 consecutive appearances. For longer streaks of points, he is second only to Mario Lemieux (3 times) and Sidney Crosby (2) in franchise history.

Guentzel also has the longest road point streak in NHL history. Wayne Gretzky has three of these streaks.

Player, Team Stats & Milestones From Around the NHL


  • The Florida Panthers set a new franchise record by scoring a goal in 16 consecutive period. They have surpassed the previous record of 15 earlier this season.
  • The St. Louis Blues have their fourth longest home point streak (41.1 GP, 10.0-1).


  • Marc-Andre Fleury is the goaltender who has played the 7th most games in NHL history (906GP). He is tied for second with Glenn Hall. Fleury is the NHL’s original goaltender to beat all 32 NHL team.
  • Tomas Hertl recorded the recording Five career hat trick. He holds the record for second most hat tricks in franchise history after Jonathan Cheechoo (9). Hertl’s seventh natural hat trick in NHL History included an overtime goal.
  • Jason Robertson’s streak of 10 consecutive home points has been recorded. He is the Dallas Stars’ first player to accomplish this since John Klingberg, 2017-18.
  • Mattias Ekholm scored in the first minute to make it 10 times that a Nashville Predators defenceman has done this in franchise history.
  • Marcus Foligno scored his 100th career-high goal.
  • Filip Hronek had his 200th career victory.
  • Philadelphia Flyers’ Cam York recorded his first career point.
