Chocolate. Peanut butter. I am convinced that this combination can do anything. It’s Easter every year and I am reminded of how wonderful it is by all the Reese eggs and other choco/pb candy that float about. My family would go to this fleamarket on Saturdays during Easter weekend. There was a candy stand selling every kind of candy you could imagine. Each member of my family would receive $5. Anything I didn’t spend for a bag full of all black jelly beans (which was my absolute favorite), I spent on little foil-wrapped chocolate filled bunny bunny rabbits. This is a combination I love to this day. I can still be seen doing my Hoover impression every time I go to my mother-in law’s candy dish. It’s a wonderful combination.

Well, these Trader Joe’s Rolled Oats & Peanut Butter Fiberful Granola Bars didn’t come from a candy store or the Easter bunny, but really, they could have. These bars were for my wifey and me to carry on long weekend trips to Washington DC to see the museums and other sites. It’s worth it if you haven’t. a lot It is more walking than what it appears on the maps. a lotThis is especially true if you’re six-plus month pregnant, as my beautiful, dear, wife. It was so much walking, I almost considered buying us Segways. Their inventor diedDriving one off a cliff, or something crazy similar.

These granola bars are delicious! These granola bars don’t disappoint. I was unaware that these had chocolate in them, so I took one off in a rage. But there is lots of milk chocolate inside, right from the full bottom coating to the stripes at the top. You know what else isn’t in limited supply? Peanut butter chips. You can find tons of peanut butter chips in this bar. TJ has found a way to add 9 grams of fiber to the bars. I haven’t kept up with the latest technology in rolled oats. When I hear of something made with that type of fiber, I expect it to taste strange, be stiff or be spongy. Side effects less than desirableThese oats were not p.b. bars. Each bar had four to five good bites and was a little more filling that regular granola bars. Way It’s cheaper than the snack options in museum cafes. These places are a complete rip-off.

These cookies and cupcakes with peanut butter and chocolate combo products do well on the blog. These granola bar will not be an exception. These bars are unbeatable and I won’t hesitate to buy them again next time I need a portable snack. They didn’t get even remotely mushy or melty. Perfect. I am going with five. Sandy was not as enthusiastic about them as I was, but she still loved them. Without much explanation, she stated that “Eh,” was all she could say. My opinion is that she could have had better granola bars, but she didn’t. She is going with a four-year-old.
