Hickory Barbeque Potato Chips from Trader Joe

Trader Joe's Hickory Barbeque Potato Chips

These are likely to appeal to those who like Kettle Chips. They are similar in taste, quality, and texture. They are both light foods, though neither brand is considered light.

These chips are perfect in their BBQ flavor. These chips have a great barbeque flavor, but not too much. It allows the natural flavors of potatoes to shine through.

These chips are a little too greasy for my liking. After you have eaten a few, the small particles of chips will still be on your fingers. You look like you covered your fingers in some sort of potato batter before putting them in a deep fat fryer. Ouch.

The bag’s side says “Hawaiian Style.” “Hawaiian” usually means that there’s pineapple and/or pork in the product. This is not the case. While I can see how they could have sneaked a few more pineapple juice into their barbeque sauce, I didn’t pay enough attention to what the ingredients meant to me to notice.

If I had an interesting story about potato chips, it would be shared with you now. But, for this blog post, my potato chip experiences have been fairly boring and ordinary.

Sonia gives them 4. I do, too. Bottom line: 8/10
