The Minnesota Vikings requested that Catherine Raiche, Eagles’ VP of Football Operations, be interviewed for their vacant General Manager position. Mike Garafolo from NFL Network reported Thursday morning.
Garafolo reports this is the first GM interview request from a woman in NFL History.
Susan Tose Spencer was also a VP and legal counsel for the Eagles. took over GM dutiesShe was promoted by Leonard Tose (her father), to the role of franchisee from 1983-85.
Garafolo said that the Vikings requested Brandon Brown, Eagles director for player personnel, to interview them.
After Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman, long-time executives with the Vikings, were fired Monday, the Vikings are now searching for a new head coach.
Raiche was promoted in May 2021 to her current role as an executive with the Eagles. Raiche joined the franchise as a coordinator for football operations and player personnel in 2019.
Raiche is a Montreal native and was the coordinator of football administration in the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes. In 2015, Raiche became the assistant general manager of the team. As their director of football administration, she spent the next two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts.
