Antonio Brown is officially free to sign again.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, veteran wide receiver and Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released him on Thursday. He is expected to be cleared waivers by Friday, NFL Network’s transactionwire reported.
Brown, 33 years old, was expelled following his disruptive behavior during Bucs’ Week17 match against New York Jets.
The situation surrounding Brown’s former NFL organization is still being resolved. It is unclear what Brown’s next few months hold for his NFL future.
According to Friday’s announcement, Brown can sign with any team he chooses, should a suitor arise. In July, the polarizing wideout will turn 34.
