Broncos fans are ready for Vic Fangio’s departure after losing to the Chiefs

Vic Fangio almost ended a losing streak to Kansas City Chiefs, but Denver Broncos lost.

Week 18 – Ian Rapoport, insider for NFL Network, has provided this report had indicated that Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio’s future was in doubt. Fangio failed to record a win in any of his three seasons as Denver Broncos head coach. He might win the Broncos’ favor with a big win over the rival Kansas City Chiefs. They had been beaten in 12 straight games before Week 18.

In the end, however, the Broncos lost 28-24 in a heartbreaker. Fangio’s decision making did not win everyone. His decision to kick a field-goal on fourth-and-9 in the fourth quarter was most bizarre, even though he trailed 28-21.

This was not only for Broncos fans but also for some media members as well as Twitter users.

Broncos: Vic Fangio loses season-finale to doubters, but fails to win over the Broncos

After Denver had worked their way downfield, the decision was made to kick a field goal. However, Melvin Gordon, who was running back, lost Melvin Gordon to Melvin Ingram’s tackle. Nick Bolton recovered it for an 86 yard touchdown.

Fangio explained the decision to shoot for the goal and put his trust in their defense to stop Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Andrew Mason from DNVR Sports filmed the video.

This strategy was not successful. The Chiefs used a nine-play drive to effectively end the clock at triple zeroes.

Fangio’s third season is now over with a 7-10 record. His first season with the Broncos saw him record a 7-10 win percentage. The team was 7-9 (.438). Fangio’s overall record with the Broncos is 19-30.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported hours before the game that the team is expected to move on from Fangio after the season and that several sources have told him that Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn could emerge as a top candidate to replace him.

The season’s final game ended in a loss. It will be interesting to see what the Broncos do about Fangio.
